Callum Hudson-Odoi Impresses In Chelsea Training Ahead Of Aston Villa Clash

Chelsea have been working hard at their Cobham training ground ahead of Sunday afternoon’s clash with Aston Villa.

The Blues, who face off with Manchester City in next weekend’s all-English Champions League final, will secure a top-four finish with a win at Villa Park.

Thomas Tuchel is likely to rotate his squad ahead of their third ever Champions League final but will know this match with Villa is still a crucial one in their hunt to be involved amongst Europe’s elite next season too.

Skilful Gilmour’s dance moves

Billy Gilmour showed why he was called up to Scotland’s Euro 2020 squad this summer after a fantastic piece of skill.

During a rondo drill, the tricky midfielder nutmegged both Christian Pulisic and Ben Chilwell before showcasing some dance moves with Tammy Abraham.

Hudson-Odoi sends message to Tuchel

Calum Hudson-Odoi has struggled for first-team action in recent weeks, starting one Premier League game in the last two months.

However, the 20-year-old showcased his talents, skipping past Gilmour before firing in a powerful strike into the bottom of the corner.

Edouard Mendy wins trampoline tennis

Chelsea’s goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga, Edouard Mendy and Willy Caballero faced off in a ‘keepers only game of tennis using a trampoline.

Summer signing Mendy came out victorious in the battle between the shot-stoppers, leaving Caballero sprawled across the grass after failing to return Mendy’s smash.

Emerson’s super strike

Italian full-back Emerson Palmieri is another Chelsea player who has struggled for minutes this season.

The 26-year-old has started just one game under Thomas Tuchel, an FA Cup tie with Sheffield United.

However, the defender showcased his ability to strike the ball, picking it up from deep before smashing it into the top corner.

Despite this, Emerson, is unlikely to get a run-out up-front.

All smiles in the squad

A number of Chelsea players are reportedly unhappy with their game time this season with the likes of Tammy Abraham linked with leaving this summer.

However, throughout the video, it was all smiles from the Blues’ players with even Abraham and backup goalkeeper Kepa in good spirits throughout.

The togetherness in the Chelsea squad is something that will certainly please Tuchel ahead of two crucial fixtures in the next eight days.
